That Laborious Luggage


Although I love to travel, I may be the world’s worst packer. Which is why this recent National Geographic article on ‘Packing Outside the Comfort Zone’ made my day. For my next trip (to Portugal, London, Lyon, and Martha’s Vineyard in July – hooray!), I’ll definitely be heeding this advice, as well as listening to the soon-to-be released Fiona Apple album for some necessary accompaniment to the drudgery of packing.

If anyone has suggestions on how to make packing a fun experience, please forward them my way. I’ll feature them in an upcoming post.

  1. I dunno. That National Geo article is pretty bad advice. The comments section of the article has better advice than the article itself.
