Does Not Compute!

When traveling, as when living, we must always remember to disconnect, to sit, to truly be present. Please—a word to the wise—do not be this couple that we saw last night at a Japanese restaurant in Singapore’s Tanjong Pagar district!

Feel free to post additional photos here as evidence of ‘distracted living’ — maybe we can start a revolution by using the same exact devices that are causing our demise! Ha.

This couple spent nearly thirty minutes locked in this pose, hardly stopping to pick at their food and barely speaking a word to one another... Makes one wonder what is so important that it takes you entirely out of the present moment. (Photo courtesy: Lea Lokman)

I’m guilty of it. A friend and I noticed that when we go somewhere together we spend half of it taking photos and posting on Facebook and Twitter instead of actually enjoying where we are, together. It was funny at first to notice it, but now I’m more conscious about staying in the moment where I am.
